Two hundred b/w illustrations. Six folding colour maps. Sereis I is 1st 1868, Series II is 1st 1870. Spine of Series I is split to top half of front joint. Both volumes are worn at board edges and scuffed. Title label of both volumes is heavily rubbed. Foxing throughout. Series I has a closed tear (no loss) mainly to margin of plate opposite page 592, also a small chip to vertical edge of illustration list. Biro mark to some maps. Else contents are very good.
