Colour photos frontis plus 15 pages of b/w photos. 141 numbered pages. Spine and corners bumped. Foxing and a few marks to boards. Remains of label stuck to front pastedown. College library stamp to one page. Foxing mainly to endpapers and page edges. Small piece of label with '25' written to it to top of front endpaper. Pictorial endpaper is edge torn and creased with small areas of loss and some surface paper damage. Small library label to bottom of spine. Foxing and marks (possibly damp). Wrapper is grubby. Small white label stuck to spine on verso.

Some darkening to boards and a few marks. Front Joint cracked meaning frontis is partially detached. Rear joint is also cracked as are several hinges meaning the binding is a little loose. Possibly two plates and rear endpaper missing. Inscription in ink to front endpaper (dated 1927) and to verso of frontis. Some colouring of b/w illustrations. Some page browning. Grubby marks. A reading copy only.
