Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
Red cloth with black titles to spine and boy in armchair to front cover. Spine and corners are bumped. A few grubby marks to covers. Presentation plate to front endpaper. Foxing to outer page edges and some page margins. Wrapper has a few edge-tears and chips; creasing with minimal loss.

Small format (6.5 x 5.75"). Red cloth spine, red pictorial boards. Two letters of the alphabet illustrated in colour with a small rhyme opposite featuring words beginning with that letter. A scarce ABC book. Spine slightly bumped, corners worn and edges rubbed. Some slight scuffing to covers. Staples are rusty with small marks to endpapers. The tissue-guards are lightly browned with a couple of them being slightly edge chipped. One page detached.

Series 455. Blue pictorial paper boards showing girl and boy in a row boat with two men. Full page colour illustrations. Light wear to cover edges. Crease to front cover. Erased pencil doodle to a couple of illustration pages internally. Damp staining to top edge of rear cover and to some pages throughout book. Binding is nice and tight. Wrapper is edge-torn and chipped, with a few pieces of loss to corners and bottom of rear panel. Damp mark to wrapper rear panel. Revised ladybird price sticker of 3/- stuck to front flap of wrapper.
