Green pictorial cloth with gilt title-blocks. Pale green floral decoarated endpapers. Full-page colour and b/w text illustrations throughout. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Creasing to front free-endpaper. Foxing and some grubby fingermarks throughout but generally contents are clean.

Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Small stains to lower edge of front cover. Rear cover is faded. Corners are slightly worn. Page 25/6 of Sing a Song for Sixpence is repaired with tape. Light creasing to front free-endpaper. Some light fingering else contents clean.

Decorated pale orange endpapers (publisher's motif?). Spine and corners bumped. Some small dents to cover edges and some scuffing and scratches to cloth. Covers a bit grubby. Inscriptions in ink to front free-endpaper (one crossed out). Front free-endpaper is creased. Front joint is cracked. Pages 23-26 of John Gilpin have been torn and now repaired with tape. A couple of the b/w illustrations have been coloured in with water-colour paint. There is some foxing throughout. A few small margin tears. Not as bad as it sounds, still a reasonable copy for a book that is over 100 years old!

Colour illustrations. 118 pages. ISBN: 1874507252. This is copy no. 5697. Spine ends very slightly rubbed, laminate at corners of covers just starting to lift. A few foxspots to textblock. Contained in a tight fitting publisher's slipcase.

Printing error to page 70 means light blue strip to edge (pictures and text still very visible).
