Translated from the original French. Second Edition. Volume III. 32 b/w folding plates + frontis. Full leather binding with raised bands to spine. 456 pages. Spine has small areas of loss and split to top, with chipping. Corners are worn. Front pastedown has come unstuck, but binding is tight. Plates in excellent order and all present.

Vol I joints worn with split to top front edge of spine. Volume II Spine rubbed at edges and split at top and tail. Binding of both volumes is generally nice and tight. Bookplate to front pastedowns. A few scattered foxspots but contents generally nice and clean.

First few pages are foxed at edges, light browning to contents which in general are very good indeed. In a very handsome binding.
