Milligan. Large format. Red cloth boards, gilt titles. Decorative floral endpapers. Top edge gilt. 331 pages plus additional illustrations to rear. Spine faded, boards unevenly faded. Light stain to spine. A few light scratch marks to rear board and a few indentations to board. Two pinholes to title page which have pierced the prelims else contents very nice.

One plate missing, one plate has a repaired closed tear. One map edge chipped with slight loss to map. Most tissue guards to plates missing. One plate partly detached. Plates themselves are very nice. One hinge pulled. Some pencil annotation.

Green cloth with embossed decoration and gilt title to spine. Rebacked with original spine laid down. Corners chipped. New endpapers. Ex-library with only one stamp suggesting thus. A little foxing. Name in ink to front pastedown.
