American Edition with New York address to title-page. Blue paper boards with green titles and oval onlay to front cover. The text on pg15 still carries the misprint of "muffatees". Spine very slightly bumped and browned. A couple of hinges are slightly pulled. Name and date in ink to half title-page. Contained in a very scarce, original glassine wrapper which is a little frayed at edges with a few small chips and slight loss. This copy would make a wonderful gift.

Some light fingering to page margins but generally contents clean. A nice copy of the deluxe edition.

Some slight wear to spine which has been professionally restored (only visible on close inspection). Some light fingering to margins and some very light foxing else contents are generally clean. A couple of small marks to covers and some very slight wear to lower corner of rear cover. A nice copy of the first edition. This copy would make a wonderful gift.

Fading to cover at top of spine and top front cover. Endpapers and textblock foxed. Dustwrapper is slightly edge worn and torn with slight loss to top of spine, rear panel is very slightly grubby.

The delightful story of Miss Moppet, the little kitten, and her attempts to catch a mouse who is determined not to be caught! The first edition is printed in panoramic form, mounted on a strip of linen and folded concertina-style into a wallet with a tuck-in flap. Needless to say, these were very fragile and few survived. Later editions were printed in the usual small book format. The wallet is covered with grey pictorial cloth with a colour onlay of the Miss Moppet to the front. "London & New York" on rear cover denotes the first printing. Folding joints inside covers are cracked. Small inscription in ink to front pastedown. Some light fingering but contents generally clean. Page egdes (where folded) are slightly worn. Silver tab closure covering is missing to front (quite normal with these editions). Pale darkening to lower half of front cover (see picture). New York & London to rear cover denoting a 2nd printing.
