This is the first Rupert annual to be dated on the inside title page. Colour illustrated boards showing Rupert leap-frogging over Bill Badger. First story 'Rupert and the Water-Lily'. 107 pages. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Splits at top and tail of spine. 'B' written in belongs to box, price NOT cut. Colouring contest messily completed. Stamp puzzle unused. Some small margin tears and some fingermarks to margins.

Almost very good condition in a fair dustwrapper.
"This volume grew out of an exhibition of the picture of Pamela Bianco (aged 12) which was held in 1919, they are accompanied by exquisite poems that De La Mare was inspired by them to write". Beautiful colour and b/w pictures. Large format. White boards with grey titles and illustration to front cover. This edition has the small image to page 43. 45 pages. Spine and corners bumped, small dents to lower edges. Some browning to cover edges. Heavy foxing and some browning to contents. Some top edges remain untrimmed from the binding process. Dustwrapper is very worn (as usual) with some loss. Spine is browned and torn with white sticky paper reinforcements to verso.
