Onlay to spine has been pulled off - just a few chips of remains - cloth underneath has faded in colour. A few marks to covers; some spotting. Foxing and browning to outer page edges.

Blue cloth with gilt titles. Pictorial onlay to front cover shows girl in red hat behind a tree, with what looks like a snow ball in her had. First story is Mistress Cinderella by Moore. Oxenham story is Peggy Plays a Part. 4 colour plates and b/w illustrations. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Spine slightly browned. A couple of small marks to covers. Joints and a few hinges cracked. Ink inscription to front pastedown. Small bookseller's stamp to front endpaper. Some foxing to contents but generally clean otherwise. 1 plate is MISSING.

Also includes "The Prefect of the Third Form" and "The Chetwold Scholarship" by Brazil. Bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. A few light scratches to covers. One sheet of paper (4 pages) are not attached (binding error). Belongs to page completed in pencil, with inscription. Contents generally clean, just a little foxing and browning.

Front joint cracked and a couple of hinges pulled. Two names and a date in 'belongs to' box. Names at top of title page. Browning to endpapers. Foxing particularly to prelims and page edges. Contents otherwise generally clean.
