A true story. The Donkey Club was founded by the authors in 1951 when there was very considerable traffic in donkeys from Eire for the meat trade. Green boards, gilt title to spine. B/w illustrations. Small name in ink to front endpaper. Contents clean. Pictorial wrapper is worn at corners, a few small closed tears & chips to edges and grubby.

Child's name in ink to verso of front endpaper. Inscription in ink dated 1930 to verso of frontis. Some grubby marks to some pages, with foxing/browning; tiny spots of surface paper damage. Illustrations are still bright.
