Many suggestions were offered, but in the end it was the Crabbitts children who found the solution. An original and comical situation. Blue cloth boards, silver title to spine. Colour illustrations throughout. 30 pages. ISBN: 0216886805. Spine flattened resulting in a lean to boards. Rear joint lightly pulled at top half else binding tight. Contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn, sunned/faded to spine and worn at top & tail.

Published for Boots The Chemist. Large format. Red cloth covers, gilt titles. 16 colour tipped-in plates. Many b/w illustrations. 319 pages. 10 x 7.5". Spine and corners bumped. Faded patch to base of spine (where there is a piece of the dustwrapper missing). A few tiny dents to cover edges. Name and date in ink to front free-endpaper. Foxing, especially to prelims and textblock. Some of the b/w text illustrations has been neatly coloured. Dustwrapper has a piece missing to base of spine and a smaller piece missing above. Rear panel and spine of wrapper are slightly faded.

A nice copy.
