Olive green cloth, gilt titles and vignettes to front cover and spine. Large format. Dark green pictorial endpapers. Top edge gilt, others uncut. 24 mounted colour plates with captioned tissue guards, 12 full-page tinted illustrations plus numerous b/w drawings. Spine and corners slightly bumped with minimal rubbing. Small indentations to cover edges. All plates present, a couple have light corner creases all others are fine. Foxing to contents and some light fingering to page margins.

Large format. Brown cloth, gilt titles and vignette to front. Brown and white pictorial endpapers. 16 superb colour plates. Poems that are 'the very essence of the British spirit' selected and introduced by Nichols. Spine and corners bumped. Endpapers very slightly browned. Some slight page edge browning and a few fingermarks to margins else contents clean. Very scarce original blue dustwrapper (with green titles) is a bit grubby and edge worn.
