Cream cloth with dark blue titles and vignettes. 16 tipped-in colour plates mounted on brown stiff paper with decorative border. 11 x 8.5". Spine bumped. Covers slightly grubby. Endpapers browned, heavy name in pencil to front endpaper has been partially erased. Pale page edge browning. Plates all present and in fine condition. Includes "National Bands" - a speech by Rudyard Kipling, delivered at the Mansion House on Jan 27 1915.

Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Light foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. A few light margin marks. Wrapper is grubby with edge-tears and chips/nicks, with a little loss in a couple of places.

Creasing to rear endpaper. Small booksellers sticker to rear pastedown. A few foxspots and a couple of grubby marks otherwise contents are generally clean. Dustwrapper is worn and torn with areas of loss at bottom of spine, top of rear panel and bottom of rear flap. Creasing to both panels and flap. Couple of pen marks at bottom of front flap. Grubby marks to rear panel.
