Numerous b/w and two-tone illustrations of cats throughout (by Wain). Nister No. 742. Covers slightly scuffed and worn to spine and corners. Endpapers browned. Front joint is partly cracked. Some page browning and fingering. Some small margin tears and some corner creases. Still a decent copy of a scarce book.

B/w illustrations throughout, many of cats! 87 pages. 10 x 8". Spine has faded to brown, with some other marks; appears to have been repaired to top and tail at some point. Heavy scuffing and surface paper damage to covers. Corners are bumped and very worn. Joint/hinge between title page and frontis is cracked, showing stitching and webbing. Foxing and browning to pages throughout.

Large presentation inscription in pen to verso of front endpaper. Foxing to page edges. An odd mark but most pages are clean.

Front endpaper partially detached. A little surface paper damage to front endpaper where a list had been stuck. Page browning and some foxing plus some marks to contents, including a co A few small tears to margins. One plate is creased.
