Very good condition in a good dustwrapper.
Green boards, black title to spine. B/w frontis illus. 7.5 x 5 inches. 256 pages. SIGNED by the author to front free-endpaper (inscribed to Marjorie). Spine bumped with some slight browning at top and tail. Slight fading to spine and cover edges. Foxing to textblock. Tear to page 95/96 has been professionally repaired. Dustwrapper is foxed on verso, chipped at spine and corners, slightly faded to spine and a little grubby to rear panel.

Scuffing to covers. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Name in pencil to front pastedown and some green crayon marks to front free-endpaper. Pencil scribbles to margins of a couple of plates. Biro mark to margin of a text page. Pencil doodles to rear endpapers. Heavy foxing and fingering. Pages 46/7 have large brown marks (from something which was pressed between the pages.

Inscription in ink (partially faded) to front pastedown. Endpapers lightly browned. Foxing and some fingering to page margins. Scarce dustwrapper is grubby and edge worn, tear to top of spine tape repaired on verso, rear panel has large section of loss to top edge and some smaller pieces of loss at other edges.
