Inscription in ink and small booksellers sticker to front pastedown. Joints are beginning to crack. Light browning to endpapers. Pencil marks to several pages. Puzzles have been attempted. Tear to the top of one plate and another plate is creased.

Couple of splits to spine, with some fraying to cloth. Binding is a bit weak - some pages have partially come away at hinge. Name in ink to front endpaper with tape mark. All plates are present - but frontis has chipping along edge, with some loss and at least one other plate has margin tear. Pages 31/32 and one plate are Detached. A reading copy.
