Almost very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
A study that was undertaken in early 1964 and completed by May that year. Navy blue cloth boards, red title to spine. 2 fold-out maps. Damage to front edge of spine and also a corresonding loss of the dustwrapper (0.75"). Grubby mark to front endpaper. Else contents clean. Price-cut dustwrapper is also edge-worn and chipped, scuffed and a little grubby.

Fading to horizontal edges of boards. Text block browned. A few foxspots to contents. Pictorial dustwrapper is faded, has the remains of a label to top front corner and a small closed tear (no loss).

Part of the A & C Black 20 Shilling Series. 1-2" split to top of spine; some fraying to cloth; other horizontal tear across top of spine - partially repaired with glue. Browning to spine. Bumping to corners. Some scuffing. Front joint is pulled. Newspaper cutting has been stuck to the rear pastedown. Some browning and foxing.

Spine is browned with a few chips and splits to top; some fraying to cloth. Front board bright and clean. Corners are bumped. Personal gift inscription in pencil to front endpaper. Joints are starting to crack a little. Some foxing present. Plate margins browned. All plates present.
