Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Two light bumps to outside edge of front cover. Covers slightly grubby. Spine browned and rubbed with a small light stain. Endpapers browned. A couple of hinges cracked. A few light fox spots. Contents generally clean. All plates present but one detached and one partially detached.

Browning to endpapers. Marks to bottom corners of both endpapers. Book plate to verso of front endpaper. Bottom of a couple of plates detached and a couple have small closed tears. Crease to margin of one plate. Some foxing to margins and page edges and a few marks to contents

An anthology of short stories. Large format. Cloth spine, pictorial front board showing boy and girl on a swing. 8 full-page colour illustrations, b/w text illustrations throughout. First story is "The Knight and the Dragon" (told in rhyme). Spine bumped, corners worn. Covers are slightly grubby with a few small ink spots to rear cover. Gold address label to top margin of front pastedown (which is also the frontis - but it is in the margin so picture not affected). Prize plate neatly inserted at inner margin of title-page. Grubby fingermarks and pale page browning to contents. Neat list of illustrator names written in pencil to verso of title-page.

Inscription in ink to verso of frontis which has a small margin tear. light browning to endpapers. A little foxing and some fingering. Colouring to one full page illustration and another has a small amount of colouring.

Some light marks to covers. Front joint badly cracked and rear joint beginning to crack. Bumping to bottom of rear board. Several hinges are cracked leaving the binding a little loose. Name to top of front endpaper on both front and verso. Inscription in ink to half title page. Some foxing to page edges otherwise contents generally clean.

Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Browning to page edges. Small tears to bottom of some pages. Top corner of page 11/12 missing. Stain to bottom of page 44 and margin of plate opposite, also affects a few pages before. Couple of hinges pulled leading to bottom of a couple of plates being detached. Contents generally clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn with some tears, creases and several small areas of loss. Wrapper is grubby with a few marks. Some browning to verso.

Corners bumped and very worn. A few scratches to front cover. Writing and pencil marks to rear board. Board is rubbed with damp stain at top. Board edges rubbed. Inscription in ink and small booksellers sticker to front pastedown. Joints are beginning to crack. Light browning to endpapers. Pencil marks to several pages. Puzzles have been attempted. Tear to the top of one plate and another plate is creased.
