Offset browning/yellowing, which looks a little like foxing to endpapers and first and last few pages of book, all in the same place. Rest of contents are excellent. This is copy No. 12192. Still has wrapper and original wrap around band which has a few browning marks; light wrinkling along a couple of edges. Original postal box is still present with some foxing/marks.

The last hardcover annual to be published during the war years and widely considered to be the best Rupert annual ever. Front cover shows Rupert holding a paddle and waving while Algy looks on from a little boat. First story Rupert and the Red Egg. 118 pages. Spine missing, edges rubbed & worn. Boards a little dull. Front joint cracked. Rear joint starting to crack. Name in belongs to box. Heavy pencil erased from verso of title page and also belongs to box. Page 77 has loss to lower margin but this does not affect the text. Contents browned and a little grubby. A good reading copy.
