An anthology of short stories. Large format. Cloth spine, pictorial front board showing boy and girl on a swing. 8 full-page colour illustrations, b/w text illustrations throughout. First story is "The Knight and the Dragon" (told in rhyme). Spine bumped, corners worn. Covers are slightly grubby with a few small ink spots to rear cover. Gold address label to top margin of front pastedown (which is also the frontis - but it is in the margin so picture not affected). Prize plate neatly inserted at inner margin of title-page. Grubby fingermarks and pale page browning to contents. Neat list of illustrator names written in pencil to verso of title-page.

First story is "The Lost Lamb". Spine slightly bumped and rubbed, small hole to centre of spine. Corners worn. Covers a bit grubby and scuffed. Prize inscription in ink to front endpaper. Contents are foxed and browned and slightly fingered otherwise clean.

Stories and pictures for little folk. Cloth spine, yellow pictorial front board showing golly and other toy friends in a plane. 207 pages. Colour plates plus b/w and two-tone text illustrations. First story is "Christmas Snowflakes" by Cowham. Covers are edge worn and spine is bumped. Light foxing, mainly to endpapers are page edges and some very light fingering to page margins. Some hinges are pulled causing contents to be a little loose bit still firmly attached. Generally a nice copy.
