A little chipping to cloth to top of spine, which is browned. Some marks to covers. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. Browning and foxing throughout. Browning also affects plates.

Large format. Cloth spine with pictorial onlay of girl in yellow dress, pictorial front cover shows two girls, one playing recorder. 6 colour plates and b/w illustrations. 168 pages. First story is 'The Sea-Eagle' Nest' by Francklyn. Spine browned, bumped and worn with a little loss from top edge of onlay. Wear to corners and cover edges. Uneven fading and a few marks to covers. A couple of hinges cracked. A little foxing, mainly to text block. One plate partially detached.

First story is "How We Let Lodgings" by Mrs. G. Wemyss. Angela Brazil story is "A Terrible Handful". Spine bumped and worn with nicks to cloth at ends. Bumping and wear to corners and cover edges. Covers slightly grubby with a few marks and scratches, small amount of surface paper damage to front cover. A couple of hinges cracked. Ink inscription to verso of front endpaper. Pale stain to edge of title page and small stain to lower margin of frontis. Contents generally clean. All plates present.

An anthology of short stories. Large format. Cloth spine, pictorial front board showing boy and girl on a swing. 8 full-page colour illustrations, b/w text illustrations throughout. First story is "The Knight and the Dragon" (told in rhyme). Spine bumped, corners worn. Covers are slightly grubby with a few small ink spots to rear cover. Gold address label to top margin of front pastedown (which is also the frontis - but it is in the margin so picture not affected). Prize plate neatly inserted at inner margin of title-page. Grubby fingermarks and pale page browning to contents. Neat list of illustrator names written in pencil to verso of title-page.

First story is Micky O'Connell and the Man in the Moon by Harrison. Spine bumped with small splits to top if spine and larger splits to base of spine, onlay foxed. Wear to corners. A few marks to covers, edges of onlay on front are browned/foxed. Front joint is broken next to half-title page. First three gatherings pulled so feel loose but are still firmly attached. Many hinges cracked. Ink inscription, dated 1926, and name and address to front endpapers. Name and address in child's writing to verso of frontis. A few marks and fingermarks to contents. All colour pages present. Some foxing.

B/w and two-tone illustrations throughout. First story is December's Guest. 21st issue of Father Tuck's annual. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Rear cover is scuffed and slightly grubby with a few scratch marks. Page browning and some foxing otherwise contents clean.

Covers a bit grubby with light scratches and small spots of surface paper damage. Name and date to front endpaper. Pencil writing to frontis, pencil underlining of text on one page and erased pencil words on a few pages and rear endpapers. Some fingering and a few marks to contents.
