Very good condition in a good dustwrapper.
Grey cloth with yellow borders to top and bottom. Titles in blue. 4 b/w plates. A few small marks to covers. Award plate to front endpaper. Foxing to outer page edges and some page margins. All plates present. Wrapper is torn and chipped, with some loss to spine; also has grubby marks.

Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
Light grey cloth, blue titles and vignette of girl to spine. Four b/w plates. 255 pages. Spine is browned. Award plate to front pastedown. Foxing to outer page edges. Wrapper is edge-creased and chipped, with some grubby marks, but virtually no loss.

Large format. Cream cloth spine. Pictorial front board shwoing girl and boy running after a small dog with a doll in its mouth. 6 colour plates, b/w text illustrations. An anthology of stories and verse, first story is "Betty". Spine and corners bumped and worn. Cover edges worn with some small indentations. Damp stain to lower edge of rear cover and spine edge browned. Small brown stain to edge of front cover and "Miss Ruck" and "5" written in red biro to top of front cover. Name and address in ink to front pastedown, name and date in ink to free-endpaper. Endpapers browned. Some light foxing and grubby fingermarks to contents (including a few plate margins but pictures unaffected).

Slight colouring to one plate. Pencil scribble to rear endpapers and some other pages. Red pen and pencil scribble to verso of one plate. A little foxing and some fingering to page margins.

First story is "How We Let Lodgings" by Mrs. G. Wemyss. Angela Brazil story is "A Terrible Handful". Spine bumped and worn with nicks to cloth at ends. Bumping and wear to corners and cover edges. Covers slightly grubby with a few marks and scratches, small amount of surface paper damage to front cover. A couple of hinges cracked. Ink inscription to verso of front endpaper. Pale stain to edge of title page and small stain to lower margin of frontis. Contents generally clean. All plates present.

Some marks to contents but most pages are clean. A little foxing/browning. All plates present.

Evidence of something having been stuck to rear endpaper. Contents very good.
