Blue boards, gilt title to spine and vignette to front cover. Wonderful b/w illustrations. 235 pages. Fourth impression. Top and tail of spine bumped and faded. Damp stain to edge of front cover and prelims. Foxing to textblock. Dustwrapper is worn and torn with some loss to spine and edges. Wrapper is foxed and lightly damp stained.

Almost very good condition.
Containing Aladdin, The Yellow Dwarf, Princess Belle-Etoile and The Hind in the Wood. Blue cloth with white titles and illustrations. 24 full-page colour plates. Possibly the rarest of Walter Crane's works. Spine and corners bumped and worn, some very slight loss of cloth to top of spine. Small dent to top edge of front cover. Cover edges slightly darkened. Heavy foxing to contents and some grubby fingermarks to page margins. A couple of small closed margin tears. A very decent copy of a scarce book.

Magic paintings completed with some transfer of colour to facing pages.
