Almost very good condition.
Off-white cloth with orange titles and pictorial onlay to front cover. Pretty colour and b/w illustrations accompany short verses for children. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Some grubby marks to coves. Small patch of surface paper damage to onlay to front cover. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Some foxing. Pencil colouring to half-title page, which also has 1" margin tear. Some grubby margin marks.

The Nursery Zoo. The Podgy-Puppy who gets out of his cage during a holiday and plays the following pranks. Red cloth, with large pictorial onlay to front cover, which shows Podgy Puppy with a chewed slipper! B/w text illustrations and colour plates. Printed on one side of the page only - one page of text facing one colour plate. Spine is bumped and faded. A few marks and spotting to covers. A little chipping to couple of corners of onlay. Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Contents are still very good indeed!

Orange/brown cloth spine. Large format. Pictorial boards. Numerous coloured and b/w illustrations by Anne Anderson, illustrating Hans Andersen and Grimms' Fairy Tales. Boards scuffed and edge-worn. 'Angela' written in pencil to rear board. Front hinge starting to split (between frontis and title page. Most top margin corners have loss or surface paper damage... perhaps the book had been exposed to damp which caused the top corners to stick together and they have then been prised apart? Clear tape repair to first page of Hansel and Grethel.

Spine faded. Covers grubby and marked. Light crease to rear cover. Both joints and a couple of hinges cracked. Ink presentation inscription to verso of frontis. Some marks to contents but most pages are clean. A little foxing/browning. All plates present.
