Light blue cloth with gilt titles and decoration to spine and front cover. 16 beautiful tipped-in colour plates with captioned tissue-guards. 194 pages, top edge gilt. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Spine darkened. Covers a bit grubby and foxed. Prize plate to front pastedown (name crossed on on the plate). It is possible that the front joint has been re-sewn. All plates present. Some foxing and fingering to contents. Still a decent copy of a lovely illustrated book.

Brown paperboards with chequerboard design and colour pictorial onlay. Exquisite colour plates. Spine lightly browned. Contents and plate margins also browned. Hinges are lightly pulled but the binding is tight. Pictorial dustwrapper has a few minor closed tears (no loss) and is just a little grubby.
