Gilt on front a little worn. Covers grubby. Some hinges cracked but binding still tight. Inscription to half title page. Foxing mainly to prelims and page edges. Some light fingering to page margins. Small ink mark affecting edge of a few pages.

Light brown cloth, gilt titles and vignette to front cover. 40 exquisite colour plates mounted on cream paper. Large format. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Light damp stain to lower spine edge of front cover. A few small marks to covers. All plates present, one has a small tear at lower edge but all others are in fine condition. Tissue-guard of torn plate and facing text page also have tears (larger). Foxing to contents. Contents are a little loose but binding is still tight.

Large square format stiff card covers; spiral bound. An unusual book. Contains 6 different handkerchiefs (stuck in) with some known Blyton characters in colour to each one. Each handkerchief page also has a thick clear page, with some writing on to compliment each handkerchief. Some scuffing to covers; creasing and wear to corners. Marks to rear cover. Some clear pages are starting to become or almost detached - one clear page is totally detached, but still inserted. Some foxing and marks. Last but one handkerchief page has small piece of loss to bottom edge of page; some browning; next clear page has same shaped loss. Some page corner creasing. An unusual item - fragile, but still all present!

B/w illustrations. vii, 215, xv and 4 pages of publisher adverts to rear. Name and date in ink to front pocket (x 2). Name and date in ink to half-title page. Name in ink to page 11 and page 93 (neat and contemporary). Front and rear joint strengthened amateurishly with brown paper glued to joint, also to verso of front endpaper and facing half-title page. Rear hinge is broken (after page 4 of publisher advertistements) and therefore cloth starting to come away from the spine inside the book. All diagrams mentioned are present. Fold-out tables are creased and worn on folds.

Timothy Peek-a-Boo decides to become a soldier. Paper boards with pictorial onlay and brown titles, 7.75 x 6.5". Illustrated endpapers. 4 plates plus b/w text illustrations. Spine reglued into place, some damage at top and bottom. Wear to corners. Some browning to cover edges and a few marks to covers and onlay. Front joint cracked with glue seeped through from spine repair showing along joint. Tiny tear to top edge of front endpaper. Half-title page browned. Some marks to contnets but many pages are clean. Last plate has marks to margin and a little wax(?) to picture. Brown spot on lower edge affects last couple of pages and endpapers.
