Packed with colour, two-tone and b/w plates and text illustrations, including one b/w doggy illustration by Wain. First story is 'The Snow Man'. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Some light rubbing and spotting to covers. Endpapers lightly browned. Grubby fingermarks to page margins, first few pages a little grubby. One page has a large closed tear which has been neatly repaired.

Page corner tips very lightly creased. A light damp stain affects the top margins of most pages. Light foxing throughout, mainly to insides of covers. Some animal ink stamps to edge of inside of rear cover. Not as bad as it sounds - contents still generally bright and clean.
