Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Front joint cracked showing webbing beneath (between free-endpaper and frontis).Title-pate is detached but still present (old tape marks on verso of title-page and contents page where it was previously stuck in). Heavy foxing to contents.

Pictorial boards, front shows boy and girl fishing with a net and jar. Colour frontis, b/w illustrations. First story is Sailing on the Sea. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. Endpapers are browned, foxing to textblock. Small pencil erasure patch to top corner of front free-endpaper. Price-cut wrapper is edge worn and torn with some slight loss.
