The second half of the book contains a reprint of Walter Hancock's Narrative of Twelve Years' Experiments (1824-36) dealing with Steam Carriages ont he Common Roads, together with the original engravings as published in 1838. Red cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w illustrations. ISBN: 0950134775. SIGNED by the author (with dedication) to title page. Faint damp patch from dustwrapper to rear board. Minor foxing to endpapers and text block. Tiny nick to lower edge of first couple of pages. Text block a little grubby and dampstained. Orange dustwrapper is damp stained to verso, lightly edge-worn and lightly marked.
