A Child's Romance. Red cloth with black vignette of girl looking behind a curtain. Black endpapers. Eight b/w illustrations by Crane, seven of which are full page. 237 pages plus catalogues. 7 x 4.5". Dated from catalogue at rear (May 1885). Spine is a bit cocked and browned; bumping and wear. Corner are bumped. Front joint is weak and cracked - can see webbing through; some hinges internally are pulled. Rear joint also a bit cracked. Page edge browning.

Mounted colour frontis plate. B/w and two-tone illustrations throughout. First rhyme is "A Little Song". Light bumping and wear to spine and corners. Page browning; a little foxing. Small tear to bottom edge of front endpaper.
