Large format (29 x 25.5cm). Brown cloth spine, blue pictorial boards - front shows black silhouettes of Jack and Jill (dog and cat) in front of full white moon. Cream pictorial endpapers. 24 short chapters each with a colour plate. Book has been rebacked, with original spine and endpapers laid down. Some scuffing to covers; with marks. Bumping to cover edges. Foxing and some grubby marks.

Volume 25 Saturday 4th October 1902-Saturday 26th September 1903. Large format. Red pictorial cloth with gilt title and date to spine. Pictorial endpapers depicting events in the reigns of the Edwards of England. 12 colour plates. B/w illustrations including Louis Wain cats. Corners and some board edges bumped and rubbed. Top and bottom of spine are bumped. Cloth split to front of top of spine with small tear to top of word 'annual'. Some cloth missing to top and bottom of spine which is browned. Front joint is cracked. Browning and a little foxing to endpapers. Three tissue guards are missing from colour plates. Some page browning and foxing to contents which are generally clean.

Almost very good condition.
Telling the story of Pickles the puppy who is always getting into a pickle! Large format. Brick red cloth spine, with gilt title. Green cloth covers with orange and gilt titles. 24 delightful colour plates. Spine and corners slightly bumped. Very light mark to front cover else covers clean. Couple of tiny holes to spine. Front joint is partially cracked. Inscription in ink to half-title page. Some foxing, mostly to endpapers and prelims. Plates are bright and clean. Guards at gutter edges are worn in places and coming unglued. Plate XII has a green scuff vertically to verso (not affecting the illustration). Plate XVI is edge-worn. A few small closed edge tears to margins. Rear endpaper has been repaired at edges with magic tape and has one other closed tear. Despite faults this is a decent copy of a rare Aldin title.

Almost very good condition in a good dustwrapper.
Large format. Blue cloth spine. Buff boards with blue title and white vignette of Gyp (a young white Aberdeen terrier) to front cover. 15 colour illustrations and b/w text illustrations throughout. Spine and corners bumped and worn, cover edges rubbed. Some browning/foxing to endpapers. Two leaves have small patches of damage to them. A couple of hinges are cracked. Some fingering to contents but generally clean. Dustwrapper is a bit grubby, is edge chipped and rubbed and has a large closed tear to rear panel which has been repaired.

Very good condition.
This is a book about all sorts of puppy dogs and their games and sports. It may serve to amuse you, but should it fail, well, this is only a puppy dog's tale. Pictorial paper boards, green cloth spine. B/w and full page colour illustrations. Edges rubbed, corners worn. Inscription in pencil to front endpaper. One hinge pulled, a few foxspots and finger marks. 2.25" closed tear to bottom edge of 'up with the lark'. A nice copy.
