Not a collection of lovely ladies but a collection of even lovelier dogs! 20 superb full-page sketches depicting models the artists has known in various doggy poses. White boards, gilt titles. Plates have captioned tissue-guards. 80 pages, top edge gilt others untrimmed. SIGNED by Aldin to limitation page. This is copy no. 46. Spine and corners bumped. Some foxing and slight grubbiness to covers. Evidence of removal of a name plate to front pastedown. Some pale foxing else contents clean.

Light browning and foxing to contents. Colouring to a few of the b/w illustrations.

Brown cloth, dark brown titles. A selection of verses which have appeared in 'Punch', all of which are about dogs. Twelve colour plates plus frontis plus b/w illustrations. 47 pages. A little bumping and wear to spine and corners. Some darkening to edges. Some light browning, foxing is mainly to prelims and page edges. Just an odd mark to contents. All plates present. Dustwrapper has one third of rear panel and half of rear flap missing, also loss from spine and bottom of front panel. Creasing and tears to edges, grubby some some darkening.

Telling the story of Pickles the puppy who is always getting into a pickle! Large format. Brick red cloth spine, with gilt title. Green cloth covers with orange and gilt titles. 24 delightful colour plates. Recased in original covers, joints professionally repaired and rear free-endpaper backed as some loss to edges. Some pages and plates slightly worn to edges where they were loose before repairs. Some creases to pages. Light browning mainly to margins of text pages, plates bright and clean. Inscription in ink and small newspaper clipping (about Peter the lost Budgerigar!) fixed with white tape to verso of front-endpaper. Musty odour to contents. Still a decent copy of a scarce title, now in sound binding.

Red cloth spine, grey paper boards with red title to front and white puppy dog about to land in water. Covers are grubby with slight surface paper damage to the A of 'Tails' on front cover. Front joint is cracked causing front free-endpaper to be almost detached. Small tear to edge of title-page. Foxing throughout and a few pages affected by a small brown mark at edges (includes margins of two plates - although actual pictures unaffected). Still a decent copy of a scarce book.

Small piece missing from edge of rear pastedown and light stain to top corner. Ink inscription to verso of frontis. A couple of corner tips creased. A few closed margin tears with no loss. Occasional fox spots and light margin marks but overall a decent copy with contents clean and bright.

Binding weak with 3 plates and rear endpaper detached. Believed to be complete. Detached plates are also have some loss to margins and generally browned. Front endpaper creased. Front joint almost broken. Spine has some splitting and fraying to top and tail. Board edges worn.
