George III is the central figure of the work and the author discusses the King's conception of his mission and his struggles with "that hydra faction". Reprinted lithoghraphically from corrected sheets of the first edition of 1953. Blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine. 214 pages including index. A few tiny air bubbles between cloth and boards. Top & tail of spine lightly shelf-rubbed. Top rear edge of board knocked. Text block browned with a few minor foxspots. Endpapers browned. Personal inscription in ink to front endpaper. A few foxspots mainly to prelims.

Dustwrapper states 18 illustrations, title page states 12, contents state 16 illustrations... I count 17 including the illustration to title page (none missing).
