Cream cloth, large pictorial onlay to spine and front board, front board shows boy cooking over an open fire whilst girl is passing sticks for fire. First story is 'The Griffins' by Florence Harrison. Colour frontis shows 'The Brownie Gets His Cream'. Colour & b/w illustrations. Boards clean, worn at corners. Name in ink to front pastedown. A few minor foxspots and light marks to margins. Colour plate "She bore away from the danger" has been neatly trimmed away on bottom margin (about an inch missing) but still bears the title of the plate and has a few small closed tears to vertical edge. Pictorial wrapper has neat inscription in ink to front panel, is edge-worn and has loss at edges. Overall, still a decent copy.

A few grubby margin marks. Hinges pulled. Pictorial wrapper is nice and bright, worn at corners with chipping, strengthened to verso with clear tape. Wrapper spine is faded but otherwise wrapper is a very nice, bright example.

Printed on one side of the page only, short stories told in comic format. Binding repaired with new red spine covering. Front cover quite badly creased and edge worn. Wear to page edges of first few pages. Lower corner tips (at inner margins) torn off before restoration, no text/pictures affected. Some foxing and pale page browning else contents clean.
