Very large format. The first ever full-size facsimile of the greatest English florilegium. Quarter-bound in Nigerian goatskin, cloth sides. Front board printed and blocked with design by David Eccles from 'The Night-Blowing Cereus'. 232 pages with 9 preliminary monochrome plates, 5 preliminary colour plates and 29 flower illustrations. Text printed on felt-marked Modigliani Neve paper and plates printed on Modigliani Insize. Green ribbon marker. Coloured top edges. Book Size: 22.5" x 18.25". Commentary volume by Stephen Harris. Presented in solander box, bound in buckram. 128 pages. 12" x 8.25". Of the Limited edition of 1980 copies only 600 have been bound into book form. Due to the size of this book, if posted, it will need to be sent via courier. This is Copy No. 90. Also contains 2 beautiful colour plates in an envelope - for you to frame! Contained in original slip case that has bumping to a couple of corners and some scuff marks. This is a gorgeous item! This copy would make a wonderful gift. This book is VERY heavy and will be needed to be sent via courier.

Large format. Blue cloth spine with light blue/green boards; colour pictorial onlay to front cover. With 36 full-page colour illustrations. Splitting to cloth spine, with some fraying at edges. Fading/browning to cover edges. A few scuff marks and some indentation marks to covers. Heavy foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Illustrations are beautifully bright. Just a few small page margin tears and marks, otherwise contents are very good indeed!

Some bumping to corners. Lengthy inscription in pencil to front pastedown. Foxing to outer page edges. Top corners of pages have a bit of creasing. Wrapper is foxed with edge-tears and chips; some loss.

Pictorial onlays to front covers. SIGNED by author with dedication to previous owner to first volume of set. Bottom 1" of spine to first volume has splitting with some fraying of cloth. Some other nicks and chips to spine, with varying degrees of fading. Couple of covers are a bit bowed with some marks. Corners are worn, with some chipping. Foxing and browning to endpapers and outer page edges. Some margin marks to pages. Closed tear (repaired with magic tape) to one front endpaper.

Most top margin corners have loss or surface paper damage... perhaps the book had been exposed to damp which caused the top corners to stick together and they have then been prised apart? Clear tape repair to first page of Hansel and Grethel.
