reddish brown cloth spine with black title. Red pictorial boards. Colour illustrations throughout. Spine is unevenly faded. Wear to cover edges. Name in ink to front endpaper. Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Wrapper has bottom 3" of spine MISSING; smaller piece of loss to top of spine. Horizontal, repaired tear across full width of front panel; some other chips and tears with small bits of loss.

Large 5.5" tear to one illustration. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Numerous pencil marks to contents. mostly short lines to blank pages. Grubby marks to contents.
