Stories and poems about pets. Pictorial boards showing three children at a gate and a small black dog. Green cloth spine. Mounted colour frontis (chromolithograph) plus b/w illustrations. 3 page book list to rear. Spine bumped and faded. Corners bumped and rubbed. Some marks to rear board. Front board a little grubby. Prize plate to front pastedown. Front joint and a couple of hinges cracked. Some pages a little detached at bottom but binding generally tight. Tears to a couple of pages. Page edge browning. Some fingering and a few marks to contents.

Edges rubbed, corners worn. A little fraying to cloth spine edges. A few light score marks to front board. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Page browning. Hinges pulled. A few margin tears. Contents clean.

A book of stories and verses. Large format. Cloth spine with pictorial front board showing children in a cart being pulled by a donkey. Colour frontis, b/w illustrations throughout. First story is "The Goose Step". Spine , corners and cover edges are worn. Name and address in pencil to front endpaper. Contents lightly browned and a bit grubby. Some inner margins are partly torn. Front joint split at top and bottom 2". Some hinges cracked/pulled causing contents to be a little loose.

An album for Autographs and Original and Selected Verses. Oblong format. White spine with green title, grey cloth covers with gilt title to front, floral decoration to front as well. Pretty colour illustrations, plenty of space for autographs. Verses by well-known poets Spine and corners bumped, front cover and spine are a bit grubby. A couple of small old tape(?) marks to front endpapers. Front joint just starting to crack. Light foxing throughout. Most (if not all) of the spaces for autographs have been neatly filled in with names. Staples rusty.

Slightly better than very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
'Untearable'. Green cloth spine, pictorial front board. 16 full-page colour illustrations plus sepia line drawings. Floral decorated endpapers. All edges dyed pink. Short animal tales told in verse. Spine slightly bumped, corners just a little worn. A tiny dent to lower edge of front cover. Endpapers are lightly browned with a couple of small crayon marks to front free-endpaper, also light vertical crease to edge of front free-endpaper which has a tiny tear at base. Staples are rusty. Contained in original paper dustwrapper (b/w illustration to front) which has a couple of small closed edge tears. Dustwrapper has done its job and kept the covers beautifully bright and clean!
