Pink cloth with elaborate gilt decorations. B/w frontis by Cruikshank. Believed to be the last book illustrated by him. The Rose And The Lily, How They Became the Emblems of England and France. A Fairy Tale. 62 pages + 36 page booklist dated October 1876. Top of spine chipped with loss. Spine browned and bumped and base. Small mark to front cover. Some page edges ragged from uneven opening.

Large format. Brown cloth spine, brown boards, yellow pictorial onlay to front cover. Delightful full-page colour illustrations in french-fold format. Stapled binding. Unpaginated. 11 x 8.5". Edges rubbed, corners worn. Boards a little marked. Spine a little discoloured. Staple binding rusty. Bottom staple broken therefore some sections splitting from base as seen in the photos. A few minor foxspots else a beautiful copy!

Green boards, black titles to spine. 253 pages. Spine slightly bumped. Name and address in ink to front pastedown. Pale browning to endpapers and outer page edges. Price-cut wrapper (with new publisher price above) is edge worn and torn with slight loss at corners and just a little bit grubby on rear panel.

Green paper boards wtih black title & vignette to front. Pictorial endpapers. B/w illustrations to text, two full page two-tone illustrations. Boards nice and clean, endpapers lightly browned. Contents fine. Yellow pictorial wrapper is grubby and has a closed edge-tear to rear panel.

Full page colour illustration every other page. Covers a little grubby and creased. One line inscription in ink to front pastedown. Prelims grubby with a closed tear to gutter edge of title page. A few finger marks present. Illustrations clean and bright.
