Pictorial boards. Front cover shows girl walking a large dog in the snow. Colour plates and b/w illustrations. First item is "Cheerful Conversation". 1 b/w Louis Wain illustration entitled "A bogus Father Christmas". Spine slightly bumped and grubby. Corners worn. Rear cover is slightly grubby. Endpapers have been professionally replaced. Contents are browned and foxed.

Pictorial boards, blue cloth spine. Front board shows cat at a writing desk with 3 kittens behind. Colour mounted frontis plate, two dogs playing at the sea-side. B/w illustrations throughout, many of cats! 87 pages. 10 x 8". Spine has faded to brown, with some other marks; appears to have been repaired to top and tail at some point. Heavy scuffing and surface paper damage to covers. Corners are bumped and very worn. Joint/hinge between title page and frontis is cracked, showing stitching and webbing. Foxing and browning to pages throughout.

Spine is faded, browned and has split to base; some chipping. Scuffing marks to covers. Bumping and wear to corners. Title page is MISSING! A few hinges are pulled. Browning to outer page edges and some page margins, which also have a few small tears. A reading copy.

Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
Large format. Cloth spine, pictorial boards show children drawing on blackboard. First story is "The Elf-Girl and the Prince". Pretty colour plates by Temple. B/w illustrations throughout including one small picture by Wain featuring 3 cats in the sea. Bumping and wear to corners and cover edges. Inscription in ink to belongs to page. Foxing to outer page edges and a few page margins. Wrapper is creased with a few large tears and chips; only a little loss to a couple of corners and top of spine.

Munster Fairy Tales For Young And Old. 3 stories. Green cloth, gilt title and border. Attractive b/w plates, some cats but not in Wain's usual anthropomorphic style. xiii + 78 pages. What appears to be 'repairs' to top and tail of spine. A few small splits/nicks to spine, with a little fraying to cloth. Uneven fading to covers. Corners are bumped, with wear. A couple of score marks to rear cover. Margin tear to front endpaper, which also has a couple of partially erased children's names. Foxing. B/w illustration to page 54 has some colouring to it.
