Small format. Pictorial paperwraps. A painting book to copy Louis Wain's style. 12 pages including covers. Covers a little grubby and marked. A few small chips to edges of covers. Re-sewn neatly. Three images are coloured in, the rest are clean and untouched. A few tiny closed tears to margins. A nice copy of a scarce title.

Orange cloth spine. Pictorial boards showing 2 children on donkeys with man behind them. 4 colour plates by wain (each plate with 2 illustrations) - unfortunately not of cats. B/w illustrations throughout. Spine bumped. Corners worn with some surface paper missing from lower corner of rear cover, cover edges lightly rubbed. Light page browning throughout.

A Father Tuck's Panorama. Oblong format. 4 plates in concertina form that fold out to create a large panorama with 14 numbered card figures of cats, and corresponding numbered slits in the panorama to insert the cat figures. On the reverse is a rhyme by Arthur Burnaby with b/w illustrations also by Wain. Concertina folds worn leading to two pages being detached and last page fold fragile but holding. Edges rubbed. All figures present and in place. Light page bronwing. Colour illustrations and figures nice and bright.

Green cloth with silver title block to spine and blue/green decorations. 'T' shaped pictorial onlay to front cover, shjowing a boy and a girl walking in the snow, confronted by a big bird! First story is 'When Hawkins Sailed the Sea'. Includes roughly 6 Louis Wain illustrations. Spine and corners are bumped and worn, with some fraying to cloth. Chipping and a few tears to pictorial onlay with a couple of pieces of loss. New endpapers. Foxing to outer page edges.

Munster Fairy Tales For Young And Old. 3 stories. Red Cloth, gilt title and border. Attractive b/w plates, some cats but not in Wain's usual anthropomorphic style. xiii + 78 pages. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Covers soiled. Foxing throughout, mainly to endpapers. Erased child's pencil writing to front endpaper. Initial 'F' in ink to margin of page 2. Some grubby marks to pages and to rear side of some plates but generally contents still clean. A desirable copy of a very scarce Wain item.

'Pictures and stories for little folk'. Red pictorial boards, large format. Grey endpapes. Packed with colour, two-tone and b/w plates and text illustrations, including one b/w doggy illustration by Wain. First story is 'The Snow Man'. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Some light rubbing and spotting to covers. Endpapers lightly browned. Grubby fingermarks to page margins, first few pages a little grubby. One page has a large closed tear which has been neatly repaired.

Covers a little grubby. Front and rear joints cracked. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. A few repaired margin tears, slight margin loss to last two pages. A few marks present.

Edited by Edric Vredenburg. Father Tuck's "Golden Gift" Series. Red cloth spine with black title. Pictorial boards show dozing mother cat with rocking cradle of three kittens in front of a fireplace. Colour frontis plus b/w and two tone illustrations of cats and some of dogs throughout. REDUCED FROM £460. Top of boards and frontispiece damp stained. Edges rubbed, corners worn. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Slight margin loss at top of title page and next four pages. A few grubby marks to last page else contents lovely, clean and bright. A nice copy of a scarce title.

Father Tuck's "Wonderland" Series. Pictorial cardwraps. 4 full page colour illustrations plus two tone illustrations of Wain's anthropomorphic cats. Accompanied by rhyme. Oblong format. Backstrip missing. Base of spine to first stitch is split and therefore contents a little fragile. Vertical crease in centre of book. Small patch of surface paper loss to front spine edge corner. Light browning to contents else lovely and bright. A nice copy of an exceptionally rare Louis Wain title.

A Father Tuck's Panorama. Oblong format. 4 plates in concertina form that fold out to create a large panorama with 14 numbered card figures of cats, and corresponding numbered slits in the panorama to insert the cat figures. On the reverse is a rhyme by Arthur Burnaby with b/w illustrations also by Wain. Each plate has now separated (the spine has completely gone) so that four individual plates are left. Plates are nice and bright. Six of the fourteen cat figures are missing. One cat figure is missing the head. Some figures a little creased. Rear cover grubby and torn where pocket flap was (pocket flap missing).

Very good condition.
Red cloth spine with black title, pictorial front board shows a girl at the seaside listening to a shell. Green pictorial endpapers. 24 colour plates mounted on brown paper (2 cat plates by Wain and 5 plates by Aris), numerous b/w text illustrations throughout (including many non-cat illus by Wain). 288 pages. Spine and corners bumped, corners worn, edges rubbed. A couple of scratch marks to front cover and covers slightly grubby with foxing on rear cover. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. One colour plate (of a teddy) is lightly creased and one Wain plate has a light corner crease. Contents are clean.
