Stories and Pictures for the Little Ones edited by Mabel Mackintosh. Stiff card covers, pictorial front shows boy and girl collecting mussels. B/w illustrations, at least six by Wain. Staples rusty. Covers slightly grubby. Prize plate to front pastedown. Contents very good, just an odd fox spot.

Brown stiff card wraps with black titles and decoration, onlay of dog in basket. Advert to rear. 4 colour plates, 1 is by Wain. Short stories and rhymes. Repaired split to base of spine. Contents generally clean. Foxing to verso of three plates but not the Wain one.

Includes two articles and b/w illustrations by Louis Wain. Bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. Covers a bit grubby, scuffed and rear cover is darkened. Front joint cracked between frontis and title page. A couple of hinges starting to crack. Endpapers browned, white marks to rear endpapers. Text pages very good.

All plates present.

Cloth spine, pictorial front board shows two children playing in a rock pool. Mounted colour plates plus full-page colour and b/w illustrations throughout. Cr 4to. 336 pages plus 4 page book list at rear. First story is "In the Days of Chivalry". Covers are edge worn, spine and corners bumped and spine slightly darkened. Fingermarks to page margins. Small stick sticker to front pastedown. Small corner crease to one of the mounted plates.

Large format. Red cloth spine with black title, pictorial boards with front showing 3 girls playing with a hoop. Mounted colour plates. Numerous b/w text illustrations. First story is "Little Miss Robinson Crusoe" by Corbett. Includes some b/w cat illustrations by Wain. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Spine faded and silver rubbed. A few marks to covers and two scratches to onlay. Joints cracked, rear joint showing webbing. Label, with name on, stuck to front endpaper covering writing, label partially removed below. Edge of front endpaper creased with small tears. Contents generally clean, all plates present.

Colour plates and b/w text illustrations (including one Wain cat plate accompanying a verse called "All Afloat" by Clifton Bingham. Reprint, no date. Minimal bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. Contents lightly browned with some foxing and an odd mark. One hinge cracked.
