First story is Chris's Knight by Tynan. Heavy bumping and wear along cover edges and to spine; some chipping. Fading to spine. Foxing to rear cover and throughout book.

First story is 'The Socialist' by Mrs. J.D. Westwood. 208 pages. Spine bumped, worn and browned with a few marks. Corners and cover edges worn. Marks to covers. Small amount of crossed out writing to front endpaper. Grubby mark to top corner of half-title page. Rear joint and a couple of hinges cracked but binding is firm. Light foxing and a few marks to contents. All plates present.

First story is "After The Party" by Barnes. Spine, corners and cover edges bumped and worn. Covers grubby with some scratches. Spine browned. One hinge cracked. Light stain to bottom of front endpapers. Some margin tears. A few marks and fox spots to contents but many pages are clean.

Spine faded. Covers grubby and marked. Light crease to rear cover. Both joints and a couple of hinges cracked. Ink presentation inscription to verso of frontis. Some marks to contents but most pages are clean. A little foxing/browning. All plates present.

Wear to corners and cover edges. A few marks and scratches to covers. Pencil writing about contents to front endpaper. Some browning to endpapers, prelims and last couple of pages. Evidence of something having been stuck to rear endpaper. Contents very good.

Ink inscription, dated 1938, to verso of frontis. Just an odd mark/fox spot to contents. One colour plate has been stuck into place with clear tape, now yellowed.

A few small marks otherwise contents generally clean.

Grubby mark to verso of front free-endpaper and frontis (possibly remains of a squashed insect!). Light fingering else contents clean.
