Very good condition in a poor dustwrapper.
What are they - Kidnappers or Rescuers - the Lockett family find themselves launched upon a most unusual enterprise... Blue cloth, gilt title to spine. Decorated endpapers, b/w illustrations, 267 pages. Spine is browned. Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Wrapper is torn in two pieces down spine, with pieces of loss to spine and edges and corners. Wrapper is also foxed and browned.

Binding is a little weak; a few hinges are pulled; some chips and tears where plates are bound in. A few plates have margin tears and grubby margin marks. A reading copy.
