Grey boards with brown title and silhouette vignette. Spine and corners bumped, some wear to cover edges. Browning to endpapers and prelims. Dustwrapper is edge worn and torn with some slight loss.

Almost very good condition in a slightly better than good dustwrapper.
Cream cloth, dark green titles and decorative peach border to front cover. Beautiful mounted colour plates and two-tone text illustrations. 108 pages. Bumping to spine and corners. Inscription in ink to half title page which has been partially covered in black ink, some of which can be seen on next page. Light brown marks to prelims which correspond with ink marks. Some page browning. Fingering to some pages. Edges of pages 25 - 32 have been roughly trimmed. Dustwrapper is edge worn and creased with some tears. Loss to bottom of spine. Spine is browned. Wrapper is grubby.

Pictorial endpapers by Alan Wright. First story is The Magic Knocker by Christine Chaundler. 264 pages. 10" x 7.25". Spine bumped and worn with splits to top and bottom. 5.5" split in cloth at front edge. Corners bumped and very worn. Board edges rubbed and scuffed. Scuffing and some marks to boards. Front joint cracked at top. Endpapers browned. Name and address in ink to verso of front endpaper. Ink tracing of picture beneath on tissue guard for frontis. 3 plates are MISSING. Foxing and some grubby margin marks.

Large format. Red cloth spine with black titles and black vignette, pictorial front board shows small girl riding on shoulders of older girl. Advert to rear cover. Blue pictorial endpapers. Colour plates, two-tone and b/w text illustrations. Spine bumped with a few small, light marks. Wear to corners and cover edges. Rear cover slightly grubby. Paper covering rear joint split for 1" at top and bottom. Nick to outside edge of front endpaper. Dated ink inscription to verso of frontis. A couple of hinges cracked. Brown mark, mostly to inner margins of two pages, one of which is a two-tone illustration page. A few fox spots and fingermarks but generally clean otherwise.

Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Wear to edge of onlay. Rear cover slightly browned and grubby with small amount of faint pencil writing. Endpapers browned. A couple of hinges cracked. Light foxing throughout otherwise contents clean. All plates present, tear to edge of one just touches margin of illustration, nicks to top edge of another.
