Almost very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
New Stories, Poems & Pictures for Children collected by Asquith. Large format. Light blue cloth, green titles. Colour plates, black and white illustrations. Rear board damp mottled and top of rear edge nibbled. Name in belongs to box. Damp staining to vertical margin of last few pages and pastedown. A few grubby marks to contents. Dustwrapper is heavily dampstained to rear panel and grubby to front panel with some slight loss at edges.

Cream cloth spine with black title and illustration. Pictorial front board shows boy watching girl make cats cradle in hands (oriental dragon on wall behind). Colour plates and illustrations, b/w text illustrations. First story is "How We Stole an Uncle From Australia". Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Light scratch marks to front cover. Grubby mark to verso of front free-endpaper and frontis (possibly remains of a squashed insect!). Light fingering else contents clean.

Bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. Rear cover is scuffed and slightly grubby with some pen marks. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Contents a bit fingered with a few margin marks and an odd margin tear. Light foxing, mainly to endpapers.

Red cloth spine. Cream pictorial boards. Pictorial endpapers. Colour and b/w illustrations. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Spine is a little faded. Couple of deep scratches to front board. Light marks to rear board. Board edges a little scuffed. Name plate to front pastedown. Endpapers browned. Rear endpaper torn by margin with some browned taped mending a couple of tears. Both joints badly cracked showing webbing beneath. Some hinges cracked. Browned tape to hinge of several pages including frontis and title page. One colour plate is creased. Some fingering and page browning otherwise contents are generally clean.
