Name and inscription to verso of frontis. A few foxspots to page edges. Some marks to text block edge otherwise contents generally clean.

A few light marks to rear board. Both joints cracked. Title page and prelims missing. Inscription to verso of frontis. Colouring to a few b/w illustrations. Biro has been used to outline some smaller illustrations. Biro drawing on reverse of one illustration which does affect a small part of text. Small hole to one colour plate. Some foxing and grubby margin marks.

Spine bumped and worn with splits to top and bottom. 5.5" split in cloth at front edge. Corners bumped and very worn. Board edges rubbed and scuffed. Scuffing and some marks to boards. Front joint cracked at top. Endpapers browned. Name and address in ink to verso of front endpaper. Ink tracing of picture beneath on tissue guard for frontis. 3 plates are MISSING. Foxing and some grubby margin marks.

Minimal bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. Contents lightly browned with some foxing and an odd mark. One hinge cracked.

First story is "The Knight and the Dragon" (told in rhyme). Spine bumped, corners worn. Covers are slightly grubby with a few small ink spots to rear cover. Gold address label to top margin of front pastedown (which is also the frontis - but it is in the margin so picture not affected). Prize plate neatly inserted at inner margin of title-page. Grubby fingermarks and pale page browning to contents. Neat list of illustrator names written in pencil to verso of title-page.

First story is "Christmas Snowflakes" by Cowham. Covers are edge worn and spine is bumped. Light foxing, mainly to endpapers are page edges and some very light fingering to page margins. Some hinges are pulled causing contents to be a little loose bit still firmly attached. Generally a nice copy.

Some foxing and a few scratches. Both joints cracked showing webbing beneath. Several hinges cracked. Front end paper is missing. Browning to endpaoers. Corners cut off rear endpaper. Foxing to prelims and page edges plus tissue guard. Some grubby marks to margins.
