Cloth spine. Pictorial front cover shows children around Father Christmas, who has a sackful of toys over his shoulder. Full length story is 'Miss Interference' by Charles Herbert. Colour plates mounted on brown stiff paper. Other illustrations in b/w. Covers are edge worn, creased and grubby. Spine bumped and worn along edges. Writing in crayon inside front covers. Title-page and contents page are detached but still present. Most of the b/w illustrations have some colouring to them.

Includes a couple of b/w illustrations of cats by Wain. Spine and corners slightly bumped and worn. Scratch mark to front cover. Heavy page browning to endpapers and lighter page browning to margins. Some foxing to textblock.

Spine bumped and grubby. Covers edge worn. Rear cover is grubby and spotted. Front joint is almost broken, rear joint cracked. Page browning and some fingering to margins.

Heavy foxing. Some grubby fingermarks and other marks.

Copyright date is 1910. Red cloth spine with black title and decoration. Front board shows a boy and girl leaving church (girl has red and white striped socks on!). Colour plates showing scenes from the life of David. Packed full of b/w illustrations. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Tape repairs/reinforcements to edges of covers (tape folded over onto pastedowns inside). Small booksellers sticker to front pastedown. Old tape mark to front free-endpaper. Inscription in ink to verso of front free-endpaper. Grubby fingermarks to some page margins. Light foxing to textblock and some page browning. Not as bad as it sounds!

Front hinge is broken and therefore prelims to page ix are loose/detached. Otherwise binding is tight. Folding frontis is torn in two along fold. Page edge browning and a few scattered foxspots. All plates are present. A working copy only.

Volume 48 1925-26. Large heavy format. Green pictorial cloth. Colour plates (some of which fold-out) and b/w illustrations. Rear board lightly scuffed. Top & tail of spine a little grayed, spine edges rubbed. Lower edge of boards rubbed, lower corners worn through cloth to boards. Front board is lovely and bright. Minor foxing and browning to endpapers. Front joint just starting to crack from bottom. A few scattered foxspots to contents. Mostly clean.
