Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
Blue boards, dark titles and vignette. B/w illustrations. 189 pages. Spine bumped with slight fading/browning to top and tail. Small mark to front cover. Inscription in ink to front pastedown has been covered with a white label with another name and address in ink written on it. Foxing to endpapers. Page edge browning. Dustwrapper is slightly edge worn, a little grubby to rear panel and slight loss to top of spine.

Endpapers partly browned. Foxing to textblock. Dustwrapper is worn at top of spine and has some slight loss to lower corner of front panel.

Some light foxing and page browning else contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn, grubby to white spine and rear panel, large tear across front panel has been neatly repaired on verso (so hardly noticeable on front now).

Published for Boots The Chemist. Large format. Red cloth covers, gilt titles. 16 colour tipped-in plates. Many b/w illustrations. 319 pages. 10 x 7.5". Light rubbing to corners. Gift insription in ink to front pastedown. Text block browned. A few grubby marks to contents. Plates are fine. Some b/w illustrations coloured in with colouring pencils. A few pages have a tiny piece of the lower corner missing. Dustwrapper is chipped at corners, a large amount of loss to base of spine (3") and thus spine of book is lightly faded where the dustwrapper is missing, also a little creased.
