A Picture Story Book For Little Ones. Large format (10.5 x 8"). Pictorial boards, front shows Grandpa guiding a donkey and cart with three little ones in the cart. First story is "A Windy Day". B/w illustrations throughout. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Front free-endpaper removed(?). A piece of white paper has been stuck to the front free-endpaper (covering previous inscription perhaps?). Some grubby fingermarks to page margins.

Contents are edge browned with a few margin tears and an odd fingermark but generally very good.

Red cloth spine. Green boards. Gilt titles. Colour illustrations. First story is "Silly Sammy". Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Spotting to covers. Inscription in ink to half-title page. Foxing to outer page edges and a few page margins. Maze puzzle to page 65 is DONE. Wrapper is creased with some large closed tears; repaired to verso with sticky tape; faded to spine; some loss to corners.

Covers a bit grubby and scuffed. Front joint cracked next to frontis. Rear joint and some hinges also cracked. Browning to endpapers and prelims, heavy foxing to contents. Small dated inscription to prelims. One plate detached and has large corner crease. Creasing to title page.

Board edges are rubbed. Title on front is partially faded. Marks to rear board. Joints and several hinges are cracked, some almost broken leading to some pages starting to be become detached. Inscription in ink to front endpaper with address written in pencil below. Drawings in pencil to rear endpaper. Evidence of bookwork damage on several pages. Two plates are missing - 1 colour and 1 b/w. Foxing and grubby marks throughout including several pencil marks. A reading copy.

Those in "Knights" illustrated by Robinson. Each volume has red covers with black titles. Slight bumping to spine and a little rubbing to cover edges. Colouring to the b/w illustrations. Dustwrappers are edge worn with slight loss to top and tail of spine of "Knights", tears to "Arabian Nights" but generally bright and clean. Contained in a slipcase (custom made?) which is slightly worn.
